The Centre had three projects concerned with education and learning.

• Higher Education. This project provides higher education programs incorporating tropical savannas research findings as well as providing postgraduate opportunities for a range of research users in north Australia.

• Extension and Training. This project aimed to answer the question: what are appropriate learning materials to enhance the skills and knowledge of tropical savanna land managers in sustainable use and conservation management?

• Learning and Pasoralists. This project worked with pastoralists to describe how pastoralists learned and aquired new land management techniques.
